Rabbi Yaakov Haber, Rabbi Joel Dinnerstein and Rabbi Abraham Twerski, Co-Founders of Ohr Ki Tov

Leadership of Ohr Ki Tov
(L-R) Rabbi Yaakov Haber, Rabbi Joel Dinnerstein, Rabbi Abraham Twerski

Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski, M.D.
Honorary Chairman, Board of Directors

It has been our great privilege to have Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski, M.D. serve as our Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors since our inception. A descendant of the early founders of the Chassidic movement, Rabbi Twerski combines Chassidic thought and philosophy with modern psychiatric methods and techniques. Ohr Ki Tov is been proud to be a pioneer in what we fondly refer to as the Twerski Method.

Rabbi Yaakov Haber
Chairman, Board of Rabbinic Advisors

Rabbi Yaakov Haber serves as the Chairman of the Board of Rabbinic Advisors and Chief Posuk of Ohr Ki Tov. We are honored by his support and participation. Rabbi Haber has served as Rav of the Lakewood Kollel in Australia and as the OU’s National Director of Jewish Education. He is currently the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Orchos Chaim in Jerusalem and the President of TorahLab, a Virtual Worldwide Yeshiva and Jewish education and outreach program. For many years, Rabbi Haber has been closely associated with HaRav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg, one of the Torah luminaries of our generation.

Dr. Robert Minkoff
Chairman, Board of Clinical Advisors

Dr. Robert Minkoff, professor and prominent Buffalo, N.Y. psychologist has distinguished himself as an expert in the treatment of contemporary mental health disorders. He is well known for his success in weaving the art of storytelling and the creative application of hypnosis into his clinical practice. Dr. Minkoff has served for many years as an inspiration and outstanding clinical and spiritual voice at Ohr Ki Tov and for three decades was a close associate of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach.

Rabbi Joel Dinnerstein
Founder and Director of Ohr Ki Tov
Rabbi Emeritus - Carlebach Chassidim

Ohr Ki Tov is guided by its Founder and Director, Rabbi Joel Dinnerstein, the first Rabbi to be a Certified Addiction Counselor. “Reb Yankel,” as he is called in recovery circles, is a recognized international authority of alcoholism and addiction in the Jewish Community. He is best known for his pioneering efforts on behalf of Jews in trouble: Jewish alcoholics and addicts, Jewish prison inmates, the Jewish poor and homeless. Reb Yankel graduated first in his class from the Hunter College School of Social Work and attended the Graduate School of Public Administration at New York University (MPA Program). Reb Yankel attended Aish HaTorah and Ohr Somayach Yeshivas in Israel. He was one of only 36 individuals to be granted rabbinic ordination by the legendary Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. He holds a second ordination from the last living disciple of the Chofetz Chaim, the former leader of world Jewry, Rabbi Boruch HaLevi Leizerowski, Chief Rabbi of the Rabbinic Alliance of America, (Igud HaRabbonim).
